Cranston's Casual Look #3

I'm looking forward to spending a nice afternoon with my lovely, Taylee.  And not having a formal gig tonight.  There will probably be a concert at Club CTO tonight, but it'll probably only be me, as it's Keeba Tammas' off-week, and BigJim Allerhand is taking the night off.  At any rate, it'll be casual.

This is a combination of the companies Sey, Hoorenbeck and Hello Dave (quite a name, lol.)

The brown crawler (Sweatshirt) is from SEY.  CLICK HERE FOR LANDMARK
The beige and olive baseball shirt is from Hoorenbeck.  CLICK HERE FOR LANDMARK.
The Jeans are from Hello Dave. CLICK HERE FOR THEIR MARKETPLACE STORE.

If you're curious, this picture was taken at our sim, The Woods Of Marathon Caye.  The fox is from Zooby.

Cranston Formal Look #1

Might as well mention the person who suggested the recent clothing upgrade.  Our good friend, Cindy Gedenspire :)

Decided to try this out for my formal gigs this evening at Charleston Lace and Bogart's.

Once again ... Sartoria

Their regent suit, gold & black with Kalnin's Martino shoes.

Great night of SL performing tonight!

Jazzy Guitar at Charleston Lace
What a great night performing in SL tonight!  Two wonderful venues in Charleston Lace and Bogart's Jazz.

Now, I'll fully admit that I don't play an instrument, (Well, at least not well enough to make it a part of my performances yet,) but I do making it LOOK like I do, and also doing instrument themed shows.

Mellow Piano arrangements at Bogart's Jazz
Tonight at Charleston Lace, I decided to go with a guitar theme.  Lots of high energy Swing, Rockabilly, and Jazz, as well as some Neil Diamond and Eric Clapton.  Bogart's Jazz featured some piano accompaniments, and provided for some more mellow arrangements.

It was GREAT to see a couple of old friends in Amaya Ametza and Christine Haiku.  Good souls and good friends.

Thanks to everyone for braving the SL upgrades and coming on out.  The ONLY thing that was missing terribly from the evening was the lovely lady on the piano, my wife Taylee.  Love you Sweetie. XOXOXOXOXOX.

Cranston's Casual Look #2

I'm standing outside our cabin on Marathon Caye.
A good friend of Taylee's and mine suggested we look at Sartoria for menswear.  I'm always looking for new ways to dress down, and found a few things.  What I have here is a combination of Hoorenbeck and Sartoria.

Hoorenbeck's brown western shirt with their blue/gray baseball shirt underneath & Sartoria's patchwork bermuda shorts.

Also found some new formal things which I'll feature in future posts.

Fashion?!? From Cranston?!?

OKAY OKAY OKAY!!!

Look!

I do have particular things I like to wear, and particular things I DON'T like to wear.  Some would call me a prim hog or prim whore, but I'd rather SEE a pocket on the back of my pants and I'd rather see the prim collar or hoody as opposed to having it painted on.  I also like options and fat-packs!

That being said .. if you happen to feel the way I do?  and you're a male on SL, (Or a female looking for something for your male on SL,) perhaps I can be of assistance.

Here's one of my casual looks:

Green Crawler/Hoodie from SEY

Blue/Gray Baseball Shirt from Hoorenbeek

Khaki Cargo Pants from Hoorenbeek

The crawler/sweatshirt comes in many colors, and they even have a fat pack (Did I mention I like fat packs, creators?!) as does the Baseball Shirt.

The Cargo pants come in a combo with Shorts above and below the knee as well.

As for the hair, skin, shape ... I leave you that to figure out on your own.

OH! .... and lately I like to go around barefoot.  But stay tuned for some cool footwear options as well.

COLOR TOUR!

As fall begins to work it's way into the midwestern United States, bringing all the brilliant color that comes associated with it (at least in MY neck of the RL woods,) I marvel at the breathtaking scenery changing around me.  I drove 2 1/2 hours to my nieces wedding yesterday, with a lot of things weighing on my mind.  Allowing myself to escape a little into the audiobook I had taken on the trip (I'm in the 4th book in Stephen King's Dark Tower series, and my favorite one, Wizard and Glass,) managed to divert for a while, but after a while, I became even more distracted by the splashes of color peering out from in between the cover of green that sped past me as I drove.  I encountered an odd feeling of the car driving me, as opposed to me driving the car (This happens to me a lot on long trips nowadays, ever since my driving trip out to Seattle in the late 90's for work.)  I felt like a passenger, and this was a not-altogether-uncomfortable feeling.  Fear not, dear reader, eyes were still focused on the road ahead, but they were also acutely aware of the surroundings. So, in my touring vehicle, I enjoyed watching the peculiar, tiny, almost-candy-apple-red splotches as they would poke themselves out of the verdant greenery that was the natural order of things, and as I approached, and as the perspective changed, more of the crimson showed itself, as if willing itself to crawl out of its coat of green.  I love this time of year, particularly for the changes it brings to nature.

When I design the look for The Woods Of Marathon Caye, the sim where Taylee and I call home, (and which is currently open to the public,) a major influence is what I see in RL, and is usually an attempt to recreate that.  Though I did not discover them on my own, I have an appreciation for the design of the trees of Botanical at Straylight for that very reason.

These trees are amazing, with their versatility, well-drawn textures, and attention to detail.  We've dotted The Woods Of Marathon Caye with many of these trees, to denote the change in the season from summer to fall, so if you haven't come to The Woods Of Marathon Caye in a while, and have a yen for the change in seasons, be sure to come on over.  You're in for a treat.  I often find myself designing with a self-serving mindset, which fortunately seems to match Taylee's perfectly.  So many times during the day, rather than log out, I'll just sit myself down on a bench or under a tree and watch the leaves fall (Yes, Botanical trees do that as well in their autumn colors.)  Come On Over and enjoy the autumn at The Woods Of Marathon Caye.

Awesome Friday evening!

So last night after doing some maintenance work, Taylee was able to join me at my Friday night concerts. YAY!  First time she hasn't been called in to work on a Friday night in a long time.  First stop, Kimberly Lefavre and Mitch Triellis' Star Bar venue.  Great to see one of the older venues in SL continuing on.  There was an appearance by Hefner and a bunny too!
Last concert of the evening was at the long standing outdoor venue, Kickin Club.  Equally rewarding is to actually have a reasonable time in the day to actually perform here, special thanks to ScrtsSafe and LilMiss for making this possible.  As always great to see some familiar faces, and to meet some new friends.  And to have my lady accompany me ... Love you, Tay. XOXOXOXO

After wrapping up for the evening, we got a notice that our good friend, Keeba Tammas, was singing at Cheyanne Nowles' Blues Warehouse.  As it's always fun to take in a Keeba Tammas performance, and certainly to take in a new venue, we jumped at the chance.  Keeba, as always, brings high energy with a healthy dash of goofiness to all her performances, and that, my friends, is what makes her special and unique.  The Blues Warehouse, as well, is kicking into full swing after what would appear to be a summer break.  Good to see venues able to manage themselves to be able to give their owners a break, and then be able to kick back into full swing.  Awesome build, Cheyanne, and GREAT LINEUP!  Check this venue out on Friday and Saturday nights.
